Thinking of booking 4 nights child free. Warm enough to sit in the sun? I haven't had a holiday in so long.

I went to Lanzarote a few years ago at the very start of May (think we got there on the 4th) and it was lovely. Late 20's during the day and cooled down to 18-20 at night which was ideal for me.

It was busy but not too crowded iyswim! I loved it, would definitely go around that time again

Plump82 · 19/02/2022 16:28

I reckon it will be. My PIL are in Tenerife now and it's hitting 23/24 degrees most days.
We're away mid March and I'm confident it'll be warm!

Monkeytapper · 19/02/2022 16:28

Lanzarote and Tenerife will be warmer than Majorca

Canary Islands yes, Balearic Islands maybe but less likely.

Clymene · 19/02/2022 16:34

Canaries definitely, Balearics probably not.

GrannieD · 19/02/2022 16:39

Definitely warm enough in the canaries but not so much in majorca. Was there last month, the week before the calima and it was bikini on a sun lounger weather (with a cold beer). Off again in 4 weeks time for more sun ! Get it booked and enjoy !

Wordlewobble · 19/02/2022 16:39

What about looking at maybe Malta, Cyprus, Croatia or Portugal? I have no idea of temps but might be worth considering.

cocktailclub · 19/02/2022 16:41

Tenerife or Lanzaorote for the sun and guarantee the warmth. Majorca has some beautiful places like Pollensa but I don't think they'll be warm enough in April. Malta or Morocco might be and Morocco is closer than the canaries and has more history.

itsgettingweird · 19/02/2022 16:45

I lived in Tenerife for years. April is usually quite reliable for good weather.

I've also holidayed in Majorca in April. The weather was nice when it was nice but when it wasn't it was damp and not too warm.

I think we'll go for all inclusive as it's only 4 nights, that's the longest I want to leave DCs really. For a family holiday we'd book a villa and eat out. Just DH and I for this break- we'll want to be lazy and lie about in the sun rather than explore all the time I think.

That looks lovely...and adults only! Blissful Smile

wendz86 · 19/02/2022 18:40

We went to Tenerife early April and was lovely in the day - around 22-24 but cooler in evenings so make sure you take something warmer to wear too .

dreamingofsun · 19/02/2022 18:51

lanzarote is much much nicer than malta and the weather is more reliable. food better and cheaper and driving easier.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 19/02/2022 18:59

I've been to Malta in August. Weather was good. Not sure about late Spring temps though.
