I've noticed lots of people on a current serious passport thread who seem to be professionally involved with passports so I thought I'd ask this here.
DH and I have been married for 43 years so obviously we've both renews passports in that time. We each first had a passport in our teens when we lived in different areas of the country (pre marriage of course!) so each used a different passport office. We've recently had to renew our passports but they each had to go to a different office (the same as the original one in each case). I just idly wondered why this was so given that we have been living at the same address (as each other) for 43 years.
