I don't mind someone having gotten The Ick because it's very specific, but I can't be doing with the way it's ubiquitous now with people saying just about anything 'gives them the ick'

I understand the concept/feeling, but it's an awful thing to say about someone, especially if they can't help whatever it is about them that produces that reaction in you. Imagine your sons' girlfriends/wives/partners saying it about them 😢
