What won't you do for an objectively silly reason?

I've got such bad heartburn but I won't drink milk for it. When I was a teenager my stepfather would pour himself pint glasses of milk and never replace it. This meant we never had milk for cereal or tea. Often he would just leave the milk on the side to go off! Even all these years later the thought of a glass of milk gives me the rage and seems so wasteful to me.

Half a teaspoon of bicarb in a small amount of water will cure it. Knock it back quickly, it tastes foul.

I can’t drink milk unless it’s the day it’s brought home and opened fresh that day. A hangover from when we had little bottles of milk in primary school that were stored in their crate against the massive radiator pipes. It was full fat milk and always claggy and warm by break time

I can’t think of anyth8ng else now I have the thought of that milk!

@PostThenGhost I Don’t drink milk anymore for that very reason! Ugh

I love the word 'claggy'

I read about this a while back and it's so true... I'm stingy with ice cubes. More than 2 just feels extravagant! It's frozen water! Grin

Heh, me three.

The crate of milk used to be brought into our Portakabin and slung on top of the oil heater at the back to fester quietly until morning break.

when I'm thirsty I put off drinking water. I know that is ridiculous and I dont know why I do it.

When our DDs first got mobiles I refused to reply to any texts or WhatsApps from them that used any text speak or didn't have the correct punctuation. They just do it automatically now.

Mwahahahahaha.

I won't eat the first crust of a loaf of bread. Because dad always had it a sitnwas his favourite. I still "save" it for him. (DS/DH will scoff it)...end crust? Fair game.
