What's your toddler mad at you about today?

3yo DS asked for an apple to eat, rolled said apple on the floor and threw it around the room. Now rolling around on the floor himself over confiscated apple that he 'wants to eat'. Give me strength!

Wouldn't let him drive himself to nursery. He's two.

FigitBit · 15/02/2022 15:08

The other day mine was mad because she “didn’t like her knee caps” Hmm

SparkleSky · 15/02/2022 15:09

The beans touched her toast.
I sat where she had previously been sitting on the sofa.
Also I wouldn't give her some of my coffee.

Wouldn’t agree with her that sweetcorn starts with the letter “b”.

SagaAgain · 15/02/2022 15:11

Three year olds aren't toddlers. They're probably even more work though so you have my sympathy.

MollieSheep1 · 15/02/2022 15:11

Update, he's found another apple Grin

Glad it's not just mine!

@SagaAgain good point! He's just turned 3 and I haven't quite accepted how big he's getting.

Last week - because she wanted smarties on her cornflake cake. She had eaten all the smarties off her cornflake cake.

Miriam101 · 15/02/2022 15:53

I wouldn't let him put my phone in the bin.

Miriam101 · 15/02/2022 15:53

Or rather- I had the temerity to retrieve my phone from the bin in which he had put it

ChittyBangs · 15/02/2022 15:54

He was singing a song, I tried to join in.

EcoCustard · 15/02/2022 15:56

I won’t let him put jam on his chicken pox spots. Tbf this was one of many tears today, not feeling his best.

mynameiscalypso · 15/02/2022 15:59

@ChittyBangs

He was singing a song, I tried to join in.
We have that a lot. At nursery they tell me how much he loves singing and dancing and is the most enthusiastic of all the children / knows all the words and moves. If I try to join in with the Wheels on the Bus at home, he just screams 'No!' over and over again.
trevthecat · 15/02/2022 16:06

Not toddler but my 4 year old screamed (seriously) for what felt like an eternity, because his cousin didn't sit next to him at a cafe.

Danikm151 · 15/02/2022 16:11

I told him there were no more brownies... after he ate the brownie.
I had the audacity to put the rain cover on the pushchair.

niki26 · 15/02/2022 16:31

I peeled her banana and she wanted to do it herself. She's 17 months old.

UghFletcher · 15/02/2022 16:35

Not toddler but my 5yo was appalled that I had the audacity to collect him from school. In front of all the other parents also collecting their children. How very dare I

RockAndRollerskate · 15/02/2022 16:39

@mynameiscalypso I also get this! He does a weird shrieking noise that is reserved specifically for when I try to join in singing!

Today though it’s because I tried to remove his dirty nappy. And dress him.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 15/02/2022 16:41

Oof mainly because I told him the reason his nose was bleeding was because his finger had been knuckle deep inside it searching for nose gold.

Apparently I'm wrong and it was bleeding because he ate too many apples.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 15/02/2022 16:42

Mine isn't a toddler btw....he's 5 (though in my head he's still a toddler), so it doesn't end...they just learn more words to shout at you.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 15/02/2022 16:43

A few days ago it was because he didn't like time.

peboh · 15/02/2022 16:53

Because she couldn't sit directly in front of the tv (mounted above our fireplace) ... screamed for a solid 10 minutes 😅

chesterelly1 · 15/02/2022 17:28

My dc are all well past this stage. I overheard a toddler stropping in the supermarket because she did NOT want it to be TUESDAY!!!!! Next aisle same toddler was refusing to put her shoes back on because they were "too shoey".

Crochetandcoffeebreaks · 15/02/2022 17:40

2 DD got the rage from my mug of tea being full and hers being very much empty. Also I had the audacity to go to the bathroom without saying bye for the 99th time (I must've mistakenly only say it 98 times!)
