Anyone in the Octopus Winter Workout

Have you received a payment from Octopus today?

I received a small amount into my account today, haven't requested any credit refund so wondering what that's about.

Anyone else?

Also wondering how I will feel the benefit of all the money I've supposedly saved on gas? Lower my direct debit? They have been pretty vague on the details.

Winter workout sorry! Have asked MN to edit title.

I am with Octopus and it’s infuriating me that at a time when we are all facing higher bills they are randomly dishing out £8k or whatever to winners.

I will be leaving them at the earliest opportunity.

It's a bit of a baffling tactic but I was game to try and lower my bills, just wondering when the actual lowering happens!

Hey OP just popping on to say that we've edited that title for you now.

Thanks MN!

Anyone else doing the Winter Workout? Any experiences?

I do really like Octopus so far, having had a bad experience with Avro previously.

I think you just do the suggestions and your bills start to come down? Isn’t it just tips?

Well according to turn I've saved £210 since Dec 1. So surely they should review my direct debit? Maybe when it ends on Mar 1st.

According to them *

We are apparently using more fuel than they calculated we should, however, they have also suggested we take a refund of excess money on the account, and reduce our direct debit.
So, I don't have much faith in their calculations!
But £80 is coming my way shortly, and I've reduced the dd by £10 a month.
