Super Bowl LVI - anyone staying up to watch?

I don’t have any skin in the game this year (Bills fan) but am excited for the half time show and have decided I’d like the Bengals to win as they feel like the underdog - and they pulled such an amazing game out the hat against the Chiefs!

@HeartsTrumpDiamonds I really enjoyed it! Would have loved a little bit more ‘Forgot about Dre’ and a rendition of ‘Without Me’ but other than that it was great. And I forgot about 50 Cent being there until ‘In da club’ started!

We're here and watching, also have Monday off work! Also supporting the Bengals, we like an underdog as well 😂

@GrealishHairband I just found it odd that 3/4 of the crowd couldn't see a lot of the performance when they were inside those cubes. But the actual performances did not disappoint. I always like a bit of Mary J Blige.

DH has tomorrow off work too.

I've got tomorrow off work, as is tradition. Made wings, pulled pork and mac & cheese, and drinking from red cups as is also tradition haha.

I'm a Pats fan so no real skin in the game, but I hate the Rams so I'm rooting for the Bengals tonight!

I LOVED the HT show but I always think the sound is so shit - I assume it's better from inside the stadium.

@scarpa your menu sounds delicious. We had nachos, ribs, chicken wings, chips and coleslaw but we cheated and got a takeaway (except for the nachos which I made).

Definitely watching. Bengals fan here. My dad is originally from Cincinnati (he's lived in the UK for 46 years now), and I consider it my second home.

My dad has travelled down to our home in East Sussex, so we can watch together. Not sure our nerves can withstand this. 😬

I've seen bits of this this evening and dh is current;y at the sports bar watching the end of it. I've come back to the room as a bit jet lagged still so come for a lie down before bed.

We are in Jamaica though, so no massive time difference.

Lots of Americans at our hotel so they've made a big thing out of it.

Only watched it for the halftime show, major crush on Eminem!

DBro is flight crew and when they flew in to LAX the other day they all got kicked out of the crew hotel because the Rams were staying there

Just realised that I didn’t know 50 cent was performing and it was a surprise addition. No wonder I had forgotten 😂

Gutted.

However also really proud. No-one expected us to make the playoffs, let alone all the way to the Super Bowl. And some predicted we'd get well beaten tonight, but we held our own.
