Find me a wedding dress!

Getting married in November.

It's my second marriage, I'm 43. I wore a traditional wedding dress the first time around, and I'm not against wearing a white dress again, but have no idea if that's the done thing for a second wedding! Not going to be in a church.

I really HATE being cold (yes, I know a November wedding doesn't seem ideal!) so I think I need something long sleeved or at least something to wear over the top for part of the day.

I really like the look of tea length dresses but at mid 40's don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb!

I'm about 5'6 and size 10.

I absolutely don't want anything slinky!

So, can you help me find the perfect dress? Please?!

Have you considered a trouser suit or jumpsuit?

I love the look of this one, and the material looks substantial enough to keep me warm. I'm not sure the low cut front/bank will do my any favours though - my boobs aren't what they were and without a bra it won't be a good look!!!

I agree those are really pretty, I don't love any of them though and I wonder if they are a bit floaty for a winter wedding.

Funnily enough when I got married the first time and created a short list of dresses that I liked there was a jumpsuit on there. I wouldn't rule one out - would keep me warm at least!

I got married in the early nineties and had a mid calf dress, sweetheart neckline and jacket made from wedding dress material by an awesome dressmaker. She even did a detatchable bow that was on my jacket but could be removed and put on my dress later.

If you think that you can find a dressmaker, it may be possible to get a different style but in appropriate material. I got a roll end off the market so it wasn't too dear.
