No money wise.
What I mean is, when DS was about 5 he said that one day he’d like to play the guitar. Sometime later I saw a guitar in a charity shop, which my guitarist friend told me would be decent enough to start on, so I bought it just in case. A couple of years later, ds got the chance for guitar lessons at school, and he took the £10 charity shop guitar. Took to guitar like a duck to water.
About 5 years on, he’s prepping for grade 5 classical guitar, plays bass in a band and electric for fun abs messes about with a uke. He also has a better guitar!! If we hadn’t have had a guitar, I would never have signed him up for lessons. All from the “just in case” £10 investment.
