I got told of today for doing my job.
Not doing it badly or wrong but for actually doing it how it should be done.
I'm absolutely fuming and was so tempted to tell her to Fuck off and get up and leave!

My DS can do no right in the eyes of my DP (not his dad), whilst DPs kids are absolute angels Hmm

Its causing some friction

newboe · 11/02/2022 19:19

I went out to a play centre with DP, MIL and DC. DC's coat was forgotten there. When we got back to PIL's, I realised and said we'd forgotten it, to which FIL stated that I was disorganised (in an apparently jokey way). I asked back - "there were two of her parents there, why is it MY fault alone that said coat was forgotten?" His reply?? "You're the mother, it's your job"

DS is locked out of his iPad. I can’t reset it as XP has changed the rescue email to his. A fact he vehemently denies. Despite the hint for the email being his first and last name with a couple of xxx inserted Hmm apparently he hasn’t done it. Wouldn’t even know how. So I’ll need to sort it out. Not a big deal. Just a pain in the arse on top of many other pain in the arses.

My kids have the magic tracks out. I hate the f-ing thing. I can't wait before it's not a favourite thing. The amount of times the cars get stuck, run out of battery, needs the course remaking or the kids bicker about it is breathtaking. I had been hoping that they would forget about it so that I could make it discreetly disappear. No luck so far.

Imsittinginthekitchensink · 11/02/2022 19:27

My work inbox which was pristine on Monday morning after working all weekend, now has 293 emails to respond to, file or rage at.
My house is a shit tip. But it's half term, so I will address one and my OOO will ignore the other.

Lostinafjord · 11/02/2022 19:27

My binge eating hasn't been cured yet and I'm on day 2 of a migraine. Lost most of two days and the house is a tip and I'm PISSED OFF

I've recently been promoted - and I'm feeling a bit of imposter syndrome, like my new boss is going to realise she's made a terrible mistake in bringing me onto her team at any second.

I'm a 42 year old senior exec, I thought these days were past me.

thebear1 · 11/02/2022 19:32

Far more scarred about redundancy and looking for work than I am letting on, but I have nice plans this weekend so going to try and forget for 48 hours.

We had these and one of the dc ran one of the cars over my head and I ended up losing a huge clump of hair! I couldn’t wait to get rid of the bloody things! They did eventually fall out of favour.

I have covid and have been quite unwell. My mil's sympathy extended to 'aw well you'll get over it'.

Hellocatshome · 11/02/2022 19:35

I'm annoyed that I am not confident enough to ask for a pay rise despite now doing lots more specialised and complicated work than I was taken on for.

Chocomelon · 11/02/2022 19:36

DH is once again annoyed because he didn't get his own way

AAAAAGHH · 11/02/2022 19:37

Cars.
It's always the fucking CARS 🚘

Ilovetommycat · 11/02/2022 19:39

Bloody snooker, winter olympics, rugby and any other form of sport. Only saving grace is he hates football.

Ilovetommycat · 11/02/2022 19:40

Yes and cars

weegiemum · 11/02/2022 20:38

My poor 18 yo daughter found out this week that the hip replacement she needs after hip trouble as a child will be a wait of FOUR years! She's in a lot of sin, taking tramadol and using lidocaine arches, but still crying at night with pain. Four years seems like forever when you're 18!

It's really rare and so she doesn't know anyone else irl with the same problems. It's affecting her studies and work (she's a beauty therapy student and works pt in a spa) and her social life has gone down the toilet. She has a lovely boyfriend who does anything she asks, (even carries her upstairs) but I just don't know how we're going to get her through 4 years of this.

Feeling pretty despondent about it all. Not as much as she does.

weegiemum · 11/02/2022 20:39

Aaargh typos!

She's in PAIN and uses Lidocaine!!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 11/02/2022 21:04

NDN's five fucking yappy dogs, who spend hours every day locked in the garden.

I've decided though that I am going to have to say something to them this weekend. Not looking forward to it.

MargaretThursday · 11/02/2022 21:24

I've just realised that a friend who has lied to me twice before to get something she shouldn't have has probably lied again. Can't prove it yet, but she's being very coy and vague when I'm asking about it and that's exactly what happened the last two times.
Going to ask a couple of mutual friends tomorrow about it. If they know nothing then it probably is hogwash.
Even if there is an element of truth in it, I have strong suspicions that there is more to it.

Lostinafjord · 14/02/2022 18:07

@weegiemum thats awful
