Anyone else not want to go to work today?

I’m just sitting getting ready thinking of all the things I could do instead of going to work - the picture rails need dusting, I could do with washing the drawer of the washing machine, I’d like to organise my bookshelves, the bathroom cupboard needs clearing and tidying… of course the weekend will roll around and I’ll definitely do NONE of these things Grin but right now they all seem more appealing than going to work!
Plus it’s icy outside so the car needs to be de-iced (again - this year I seem to have needed to do this so many times).
I AM going to work, I would just really rather not! Anyone else?!

Me. Laying back in bed in my towel after my shower. First call in 5 mins, have told them I’ll be a few minutes late and to start without me.

A friend of mine who works from home said she’s often late to work as she has a jigsaw permanently on the go on the dining table and is drawn in on her ‘commute’ Grin

Me!! Well paid job but this morning I worked out I'd only be £300 a month worse off on benefits (disabled children). We can afford the £300 hit too. Someone please stop me handing in my notice today!!

I got up at 5am after 4 hours sleep to tidy before friends arrive for the weekend.

Got so occupied tidying I forgot to leave the house at 6.30 for 7.30 gym.

Then faffed around and didn't pitch up at work till 11

Did two brief meetings and now faffing on mumsnet

My personality does not support my ambitions 😂

I didn't work today. And it's been glorious to do bugger all. We're not busy so I took the day off.

I really didn't want to go in today.
I'd like to say I'm glad I did.

I could have taken the day off ill cause of a cold.

But instead I hauled myself out of bed at half 6, to teach a class that contained 3 out of 16 students. Cause apparently almost none of them could be arsed getting out of bed today either.

Can't say I blame them really. Blush

Perfect timing. I’m on the train into work and I just want to turn round and go home. There’s a problem that came to light on Thursday that I’m going to have to try and fix today. And I don’t know how I’m going to do that.

Me. I have a crusty eye, a sore throat and feel like shite. Unfortunately I’ve already had two separate weeks off because of this virus and I can’t take a third.

I’ve been up through the night with the puppy. I’m working from home today but still in bed wishing I had a puppy nanny and I could have a couple more hours kip.

I m WFH but I could quite happily stay here on the sofa and watch telly rather than go upstairs, log in and see what 'urgent ' tasks my Bitch Queen boss has set me today. Looking forward to retiring later this year so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
