My friend has not long had a baby and am thinking instead of a traditional baby gift. I will get her a box of goodies and easy snacks while she's breastfeeding? I have already got her a baby gift at the baby shower.

Yes! My friend sent me a chocolate hamper after I had dc3 and it was the best thing I've ever received post partum!

It's thoughtful. I wouldn't have liked it personally, as I'm picky about what I like, but DH could probably have eaten most of the snacks. I'd prefer a nice bottle of fizz that can be put away until whenever I fancy some.

Chocolate isn't something she's overly keen on I know what things she likes so hopefully it will go down well as a nice gift am thinking maybe a bung in the quick type meal homemade aswell. Maybe a lentil ragu so only need to cook the pasta.

My baby is nearly 3 weeks old so I remember what everyone did for us very well. My brother and his wife bought us a lot of treats, my sister made a cake and a lovely dinner for us, MIL bought us some ready meals to fill the freezer with - these were all very much appreciated!! Do it!
