I posted a couple of days ago about my 17 year old having asthma and that she had been having trouble with it so we have been to the doctors and to hospital for a chest x ray and the gp wants to see her again tomorrow.

This evening my 12 year old came into the room burst into tears saying she had a headache and was feeling ill and that her heart was racing I took her temperature 39.7 according to our finger monitor her heart rate was 155 but when she lay down it settled to 122.

I have given her paracetamol which has brought her temp down and laid her in my bed meanwhile 17 year old is panicking because tomorrows routine has changed (did i mention shes autistic?) oh and just to add to it my son had surgery to remove an ingrown toenail two weeks ago and he has banged the toe which is had to rebandage for the third time today.

Im feeling a little overwhelmed by all of this! Dh only went away a few days ago and all if this suddenly exploded !

Isn’t it always the way!
Get yourself a cuppa, tell ds if it needs bandaging again he’ll have to do it himself.
Heart rates often get speedy with a high temperature, and that is pretty high. Keep her hydrated and if she can take Nurofen in between paracetamol doses to keep the temperature down.
Hope things improve! 💐

You poor pet. It always seems to happen when you are on your own. A number of years ago my husband moved 200 miles for a new contract. The first night he left my then four year old came out in a rash, couldn't stand light and had a sore neck. I had to bring all four with me to a&e. A very lonely worrying drive. A viral infection. Try and keep 14 year old hydrated and keep on top of pain relief. Hopefully ds bandage will stay on. I'd say that he's sore. I too have a DD on the spectrum so I understand about routine. Ask her to write out what is happening tomorrow and give her back some control. Make yourself a cup of tea because it's going to be a long night. Everything will be better tomorrow. 💐💐
