My favourite all time fact is that two halves of a supermarket sandwich are never from the same sandwich and are each another half of another pair. Unbelievable.

I met a grown man who didn't know peanuts grew underground recently too, which pleased me.

The amount of gold in the world would fit nicely under the Eiffel Tower. So I know read. For some reason I find this fascinating, and have quotes it a lot over the years. So even if it's not true, quite a lot of people believe it as fact now

@SunshineCake1 Anecdata but you said 'always'. I knew an athletics coach had a 6' tall mother and 5'2" father. He was a coach rather than competitor as he took after his father.

Er... think the crisp one is wrong?! I was just telling my children these facts and they refused to believe this one. They insisted on checking every bag in our house and have found 2 bags that don't follow the Saturday Best Before Date!

A group of cats is a clowder, though when I checked, an alternative is a clutter, glaring or pounce

And of course there are clockwise (long legs on left side) and anti-clockwise (long legs on right side) haggises. It's impossible for them to interbreed.
