Do your pets have characters/voices that you assign them?

My cat, for example is an ex Russian spy. Very shady dealings with the garden birds. Terrible accent.

My dog is delightfully stupid, speaks very slowly, misunderstands everything and thinks the best of everyone and everything, including the cat who she routinely and unknowingly hides contraband for from the police.

Yes, they have characters and voices assigned to them by DP. Older dcat is very sweary and is always insulting DP. New rescued stray dcat has a Brummie accent and is always being led astray by the other cat. It amuses me endlessly.
DP also makes up songs for them, they have hundreds of nicknames too.

Casp47 on Facebook is hilarious. He lives with Daisy and another dog and they have conversations with their owner and the cat next door.

@Scarby9

Yes. And one of the reasons I really love my dad was hearing him, every morning as a teenager while I lay in bed, going downstairs alone and having a conversation with my hamster. 'Good morning, young Hammy. How did you sleep?' (Squeaky hamster voice): Been up Ll night, I'm afraid'. 'Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Would you like half a grape?' Etc.
That's just adorable, your dad sounds amazing. My late dad was a devoted animal lover too.

Our spaniel sounds like Danny Dyer and uses dreadful language!

My cat is ridiculously sweary.

No fucking idea where she picked it up from.

DDog has a broad brummie accent and often calls us Babs. We have no idea why as we got her from Cheshire.

frankie001 · 09/02/2022 19:57

DDog says “whut!?!?” Every time I speak to her.

Me - need a wee wee?
Her - whut!?!?

Me - walkies?
Her - whut!?!?

And continue

My JRT speaks in an aloof French accent and my old lab is like Catherine Tate's Nana! The pair of them chatting together is a hoot!!
