I’ve always enjoyed throwing parties (despite the panic I usually have beforehand!) but, mainly thanks to Covid, and also a few personal issues, I haven’t done it in ages. At the weekend I started thinking about the extra bank holiday we’re getting to celebrate the Jubilee and whether that could be a good excuse for a party.
However, I have one concern - which is that I live in a flat with no outside space. That’s fine for Christmas or NYE parties, but is it a bit crap to have a summertime party where no one can go outside? Especially for an event like the Jubilee?
It might sound daft, but I just remember my cousin having a street party for Harry and Meghan’s wedding and how much fun it was when everyone spilled outside after the ceremony. (She also has a huge garden, so there was private outside space too.) My road is definitely not a street party road, so that’s out. Is a party like this with no outside space going to fall a bit flat?
Any thoughts would be appreciated
