Is it just me or is it too early for techno music?

I'm most probably showing my age BUT I dont think techno or similar needs an airing at 11am?! Love love BBC 6 music, love the morning show with Lauren Laverne, even warming now to Craig Charles in the afternoon. However, Mary Ann Hobbs playing some sort of hardcore dance slot at 11am is wearing thin. I have just switched to Radio 2 till shes off air.... Is anyone else a fan of the early morning rave or am I just alone in my hatred of it??!!!!

It's never too early for electronic music!!
I have trance & drum n bass on my Spotify and I play it in the morning to wake me up!
Not too loud though, don't like to upset my new neighbours.

Yeah I think so too, but I've never been a fan of that type of music. I'd not listened to 6 Music for ages so thought I'd go back to it and loved it until that all started. Frustrating as I usually listen to Radio X which is getting soooooo tiresome (bring back the original XFM!), so I needed a change. But nah, can't do hardcore dancey stuff at any time of day

Okay so mixed responses! True, I've never liked techno in particular but I do like dance music - trance, drum and bass etc...Just don't want to hear it first thing. I suppose we are all different. It takes alot for me to switch radio stations though, so it's clearly pushed me over the edge...It's the proper bass-y monotonous tracks that properly make me feel annoyed in particular

Never too early! My favourite type of music and it plays as early as 7/8am even when i occaisonally do the school run in the car as DS is also a techno fan! Yay!
