Electric throws - are they expensive to run ?

Hello - with all the rising costs of electricity I was considering buying a electric throw to use when working from home.

Does anyone know how much they cost to run?

Thanks

Nope they cost pennies! V cheap way of keeping warm.

I have mine on for 2-3 hours, medium heat setting, every evening. It doesn't register on my smart meter at all. V pleased with it. The CH on the other hand...if I'm not careful, just a couple of hours in the morning to take the chill off takes me dangerously close to the Budget setting on the meter - just at 17 degrees.

Expensive to buy though.

Can you recommend the one you have?

I've been looking on amazon but the makes aren't recognisable and quite a few have good reviews, but still a number of reviews that say it's broke very quickly.

Thanks - yes would love any recommendations

Have been looking at this one. But only because I have been so impressed with John Lewis customer service this weekend

I actually have two now, the one I have had for a few years which I love is a Dreamland one. I bought a slightly cheaper one off Amazon (Mia and Coco) over Christmas and it's working fine but doesn't get as warm as my other one.

So if you can afford it I would go for the Dreamland one, my sister also has this one and several colleagues and I'm not aware of anyone having issues with it Smile
