I stopped breastfeeding my DD 3 weeks ago. She’ll be 3 in April. We did it really gently, talked about it loads and she was pretty happy. She actually hasn’t mentioned milk at all since the day we stopped.
However, she has become the clingiest child EVER. She wants to be with me constantly. If I go to the bathroom without her she screams and screams and bangs on the door. She’s not happy to stay with DH if I leave the house or even room for that matter. Insists on holding my hand whilst she’s eating at the table. The only time she seems to be ok without me is while she’s actually at nursery. Drop off has never been great but she’s settled whilst she’s there. Not sure if that’s because she knows exactly when I’m coming back. She only goes two mornings a week.
Please, if anyone has any advice or just experience of similar I’d be soooo appreciative. I don’t know how to help her through this
