Feeling a bit down with kids limited diets. 2 lovely DC, both autistic and both quite limited with what they eat.
Neither will eat any veg except carrots cut and cooked in a specific way. For carbs they have opposite tastes so one will only have rice/pasta/noodles whilst the other will only have potato-based like mash, chips or roasties. This makes meal times difficult as there is rarely ever a time where everyone can sit with the same meal, every night I’m faffing doing something extra.
They also won’t eat school dinners most of the time (they’re ks1 so would benefit from free ones as well!) so I’m stuck making packed lunches, always desperately trying to think of things they may eat.
I love being a parent but this aspect honestly gets me quite down even if it seems trivial :(
It would be a dream to just be able to make one pasta bake or curry to serve to everyone each night.
Not to mention the additional worries about health and nutrients.
Anyone else in the same boat, is there anything that can improve things or make it easier?
