How can I stop cutlery going streaky in the dishwasher?

I treated myself to some lovely new (pricey-ish) cutlery this week to replace the tatty IKEA stuff we've had for years. It arrived beautifully shiny and if I wash it by hand and dry it with a tea towel it stays that way. Life is way too short to do that every day, so I've been putting it in the dishwasher (it's dishwasher safe) but it comes out pretty streaky. I've tried rinse aid but it actually made it worse. Do I need to start buying expensive dishwasher tablets instead of the cheapy aldi ones I usually use? Any other tips?

A dollop of white vinegar ought to do the trick.

Thanks. Do you mean instead of rinse aid?

Nope, as well as. About 50-100ml of, not loads. It also has the advantage of helping to keep your dishwasher scale down.
