Is it really cold tonight or is it just me?

I am in London and have been sitting down finishing some work. I put the heating on ages ago even though it’s burning money but it’s still chilly. My Victorian terrace is still pretty draughty even though I have spent a fortune on new double glazed windows etc. 😩

It is cold tonight, OP. The wind has shifted so it’s coming from the north, bringing arctic air down over the UK.
I’m in Scotland, on the edge of the highlands, and noticed a drastic drop once the sun went down this afternoon.
It’s more noticeable as we have had a ridiculously warm January, so a big contrast.

I've been FREEZING all day - my daughter even commented on how cold my hands are and she tried to warm them up. It's weird because supposedly the temps aren't that low. Currently bundled into my bed with a hot water bottle

I'm Scottish borders, was snowing on and off most of the day. Dam n right it's freezing. After 8 shitty years in this house with Windows not even siliconed in, I finally ordered a door curtain, it's changed my house massively.

Bottom of the south coast and today has been bitter

Didn't realise how cold it was until I went out for a speed walk and froze

Came back and put on my fluffy socks thermals and my best Xmas pressie ever a oodie and still not baking but better than i was.

Trying to keep the gas usage to a minimum so thermostat is currently on 16 and have told the tween and teen to wear their oodies and cost socks if they feel cold but both are currently walking around in shorts

First time in I can't remember how long that I've had to put my winter dog walking coat on. London.

Have thick socks on and we all have an extra blanket tonight.

Have had snow on and off all day. My house is always cold as windows dont close properly but I have fleece pjs on, a hoodie, my dressing gown and I am sat under my heated throw. Just starting to warm up a bit.
