Not sure how to feel. TW child sexual abuse

Im not 100% sure why I'm posting, I just need to write this down somewhere.

The other day, I got a letter from school saying that one of the contracted PE staff had been charged with child sexual offences. It's all over the news and children from DD's school are the victims. 4 of them, all primary school age. The offences are said to have been online only but who knows!

It turns out that he was my DD's PE teacher every Friday.

I feel so much, angry, scared, confused. I've talked to DD and thankfully she has no SM and I monitor her phone. I'm confident from talking to her that nothing has happened and as shes in a SEN class, they are always with a teacher or TA.

I think mostly I'm in shock.

I think it's normal to feel shaken and a bit sick at the thought of somene like that being in close proximity to your child. Yes, we know "they're everywhere", but that doesn't mean it isn't a punch in the guts when one is uncovered, especially in a school.

On the bright side - he's been caught, and can't damage any more children.
