Knickers to it.

Tell me about your knickers please.
Now, before you get them in a twist, I've not bothered name changing so you don't think I'm some sort of perv.
I normally buy plain black functional cotton knickers in multi packs from the supermarket. Asda if anyone is interested. However, the last two packs I've bought have disappointingly fallen apart after just a few wears and washes.
I have also decided to get bigger ones rather than my usual bikini style ones as I've developed a bit of a tum and I find they sit under the ' lip ' of my tum, so bigger may be better.
Having them coming up to somewhere around my belly button, rather than my armpits. I'll consider armpit ones in a couple of years maybe when I'm about ready for bloomergeddon.
So, can anyone tell me about their best buy plain cotton multi pack knickers please?
I don't want to pay a fortune, nor do I want lacy things, just plain functional cotton in a multi pack.
I saw exactly what looked ideal blowing on a washing line a couple of days ago, but I didn't think that knocking on a stranger's door to ask about knickers was a good idea, and I didn't want a set of smacked teeth for my troubles.
So ladies, can you please tell me about your knickers.
Thanks.

Tescos full brief.

I have been buying them for 5 years now - after I too decided I needed a bit more cover.

I think iirc they are £5 something for 4 pairs. Mostly well made, white, black or different multi patterned pack. Very occasionally get a pair where the leg elastic is not attached well but this is very rare. Comfortable and easy to wear.

I do most of my grocery shopping at Asda and only use Tesco - which is closer - for occasional top ups, herbs and spices (for the square jars), coffee filters (unbleached) and knickers.

@NannyGythaOgg Thanks, I'll try those. 👍

@HPLikecraft Crikey those look a bit pricey, is that just for two pairs?

Sainsburys have kept me going for years but have also just bought some from Matalan which are great - have a little bit of lace to make them more "fancy" 😬

HPLikecraft · 04/02/2022 11:16

The link should have been for 4 pairs, but you're right they're not cheap. I got mine when they were on offer.
They are very good quality, though, and will last.

bilbodog · 04/02/2022 11:17

Sloggi - maybe not the cheapest but long lasting!

Loving bloomergeddon 🤣🤣

thereisonlyoneofme · 04/02/2022 11:52

M &S full brief with the lace top, they dont dig in

LadyOfMisrule · 04/02/2022 12:33

I second the Wirapa. Try them and you will NEVER wear anything else. Ever.

(Well, that was my experience, anyway)

Tergeo · 04/02/2022 12:36

Next midi multipack here. Just thrown all my M&S ones as I never wear them any more.

Thighdentitycrisis · 04/02/2022 12:41

I like these even though they aren’t cotton, they are so comfortable www.marksandspencer.com/5-pack-no-vpl-microfibre-high-rise-full-briefs/p/clp22077675?color=BLACK#intid=prodColourId-60080745

NoLongerTroels · 04/02/2022 13:40

Midi M&S for me in a multipack. I'm short waisted so I'm proper tucked in like Harvest knickers on me.

Shelby1981 · 04/02/2022 13:47

Tu at Sainsburys, full briefs. Brilliant. Recently got some with some sort of "comfort elastic" that are even better. £7.50 for a pack of five. Go, go now!

itwasntaparty · 04/02/2022 13:53

Used to love the M&S Brazilians but they've done something to them and ruined the live for me. Next 'high leg lace' are the next best I've found.

MinnieMountain · 04/02/2022 14:24

I’ve got M&S cotton full briefs to wear with my re-usable sanitary towels. They’re lasting well and they’re comfy.

Thank you for all your replies.
I am going to buy a pack from Tesco, Sainsbury's and mark's and put them to the test 😁

M&S are the best, albeit not such good quality as they used to be.
