Hi all, I’d recently decided I needed some counselling/ therapy to deal with how some traumatic experiences (mainly dealing with my teenage DC’s mental illness) and menopause have left me in a crippling between jobs career rut, with no confidence to move forward and find work.
I have an appointment with a practioner who offers NLP, coaching and hypnotherapy but I’m suddenly worried that it’s not evidence based enough and that maybe the training is not that rigorous.
I decided not to go for a counsellor / therapist per se as I really want to move forward / change rather than talk about my problems/ past.
Any advice? Stick with it or cancel? I’ve just started HRT if that’s relevant.
