Club Med - any reviews?

Hi all,

My DH and I want to get away for a few weeks in the summer with our two boys - DS3 and DS1. We have heard good things about club med and the kids clubs so we get a chance to have time for ourselves (which we never get as no family support). We aren't really all inclusive people but with two young kids our evening options are limited anyway so are happy to have somewhere we can eat early and food is decent. If there are water sports etc we can enjoy we would love that too.

Any recommendations? Has anyone done this?

Thank you....

We’ve been twice when DD was 2-3 to Mexico and the US. She absolutely loved the kids clubs but I have heard the European ones can be very French heavy, probably not an issue for your youngest but your 3YO might be bothered. You have to pay extra for under 4s and the water sports so don’t forget to budget for that. The food was decent. The accommodation was a bit more basic than I’d usually like, especially the US one we went to but clean and nothing wrong with it. Where we stayed at the Mexico one was rated their equivalent of 5 stars but definitely wasn’t actual 5 star standard. I mean you go for the childcare really, we all enjoyed it, but it definitely wasn’t anything special. We’ll probably go again this summer tbh and be equally underwhelmed but you know what you’re getting!
