Manager at work said I rolled my eyes during a meeting when I didn't

I was on a meeting on Zoom with a senior manager at work, my line manager and some other colleagues. We were discussing something frustrating and the senior manager then went "oh did I see you roll your eyes there [my name]" I just brushed it off and laughed it off "no, not at all" but I'm worried everyone will think I was being rude and rolling my eyes, when I wasn't

My eyes do dart around the laptop screen on meetings looking at everyone/emails popping up in the corner but I would never roll my eyes

I'm worried I've come across rude :(

Everyone would have forgotten this the minute the meeting was over.

This happened to me, I was accused of rolling my eyes and all I was doing was looking at the wall clock. Do you feel confident enough to say to your manager you were just looking at the screens and you feel she made you look unprofessional and stupid. Maybe the emails should be sent out before the meetings for people to read so they dont distract people.

If you are worried drop your manager a line and say what you've just said.

Really poor of your manager to single you out like that for something so fleeting and objective as an eye movement on a Zoom call! There's no way you could be sure someone was rolling their eyes in a meaningful way in that situation.

I would ignore it, personally. Manager is a dick - in other news, Pope still Catholic and Boris Johnson still a useless sack of rancid guts.

SUBjective Blush

There is something odd about someone being questioned like that in a meeting! Seems quite rude to me. Over zoom, your pictures aren’t large, they couldn’t have seen much.

I’m just wondering if they were male of female?

Should have been done privately if they had an issue anyway.

The context is they were talking about something frustrating to do with our project and kind of laughing/saying it in jest, and then the senior manager said 'Oh did I just see you roll your eyes there [my name], have you found that element frustrating too?' and I just went 'Oh no! No not at all' or something like that (can't really remember my response as I was a bit taken aback)

I really don't want to message my manager about I'm worried it will make me come across as being overly defensive. I'm not a rude person, I'm quiet and reserved so I'm hoping that they will know I didn't roll my eyes?

I get really nervous in meetings as it is, now I'm going to be so conscious of how fast my eyes move and where to.

I dropped an f bomb whilst in a call yesterday and of course it would be the one time that I wasn't on mute!! It wasn't directed at anyone in the call - just my own stupidity as I'd managed to delete something I really didn't want to delete! No one said anything so I didn't either!!

It sounds lighthearted don't worry about it.
