Anyone listen to Kisstory or Kerrang on Alexa speaker?

I keep getting a spoken message when I put on either of these stations on Alexa, basically saying this service is ending and in the next few days I won't be able to listen to it anymore?

I've tried googling but can't find anything mentioning it, maybe these stations aren't very popular? I thought they were!

It's annoying because I will have to go back to radio 2 I suppose.

Just wondered if anyone knew anything about it or if there is some way I can still listen on my Alexa speaker?

I was just listening to it - didn't get a message. It just said it was "playing Kisstory from Keith's Planet Radio" - sometimes it says it's using another app if it's on a different Alexa. I have no idea how it chooses - is it something to do with a skill that's not going to be there?

Ah ok that's interesting maybe I need to get another skill on it then, I will have a look at that thanks, it's really confusing!

I had that a while ago with Planet Rock. Probably 2+ years. It is yet to end.

Think it's the owner of various stations, Baur?, wanting to get info direct from consumers rather than via 3rd party apps like tunein.
The radioplayer skill should play these stations fine.

Oh so it might be ok then, thanks! Fingers crossed Smile It was just weird because I've never heard that message before.

I get that message listening to Planet Rock via tunein on my smart tv but no message via Alexa so you might be ok Grin

Sounds like it might be ok then after all! The message makes it sound like they are going permanently off air and I was surprised I couldn't find any news articles about it so thanks for your help everyone!

I got this with BBC2 and 4 and Gem. I went onto my Alexa app and clicked something with a BBC logo and again with a Gem logo and now they all play again 👍

Hey, easiest way I’ve found is to download kerrang app on phone and connect phone via Bluetooth as a speaker on Alexa app. You need to select the Alexa device in app and go through settings. Work perfectly.

give it a try x
