Just that really. I don't like music all that much. I've never owned an ipod, never had spotify, rarely have music on in the car. Occasionally I hear a song I like (usually as a backing piece in a TV show) and find it on youtube. When I do like something I like to play it on a loop for hours, then I won't listen to it again for months/years.
I think it's got worse as I've got older. When I was younger I would enjoy going out for an hour or so at a club and dancing but would quickly get bored and want to go home. I also played 3 musical instruments to a good level (Grade 8 violin, Grade 7 clarinet, piano to a lesser extent), entirely pushed by my parents. I did enjoy playing in an orchestra, experiencing music like this was probably the only I have truly been transported by music.
Now I can't bear to have music on in the background, I find it really distracting and irritating and have to turn it off. This causes a small amount of friction with DH who likes music and likes listening to music. I got him a pair of good headphones for his birthday!
So anyone else just not that into music?
