If you wanted to treat yourself....

What would you buy?
I've recently received a small pay rise and would like to treat myself.
Something under £50 and just for me. Something that will last so I can use or look at and will make me smile.

I stumped though. Don't need perfume or candles, I don't really wear jewellery or make up.
Any ideas? Thanks

Liz Earle cleanse and polish, toner and moisturiser. I love using this, feels like a relaxing treat.

I’d book on a guided mountain climb.

I'd definitely buy shoes

hivemindneeded · 01/02/2022 21:36

@WorriedMillie

I’d buy one or a selection of (some lasting, some less so!)

Nice shower gel
Hotel chocolat alcoholic fruit covered in chocolate
Craft stuff
Bamboo socks
A bird feeder
A cookery book
Some of those retro travel posters, framed
National trust membership
A nice backpack

You win. Definitely a bird table and some seed. Hours of fun forever. or until the squirrels wreck it.

Silk pillow case
Fluffy dressing gown
Cashmere bed socks (not just for bed!)
I think they’re called Fresh from John Lewis did a mix of lovely face masks (beauty not covid!)
Some seeds & trays (sweet peas or tomatoes can be sown now)

That's a great list.

But would be bubble bath for me and I'm not bothered about National Trust membership but everything else sounds good.

A picture, perhaps a good photograph from a gallery.
You might have to add some money.
Or save up for a good print.

bluedomino · 01/02/2022 21:49

A real sheepskin hot water bottle and a sheepskin to put your toes into when you get out of bed. I have a bit of a sheepskin thing going on atm!

maddy68 · 01/02/2022 21:53

A massage

coastergirl · 01/02/2022 22:26

For me at the moment, it would be lego! I love it. And jigsaws.

mrsbyers · 01/02/2022 22:31

Lego flowers and a vase

Perfectlystill · 01/02/2022 22:37

Cashmere fingerless gloves

@mrsbyers

Lego flowers and a vase

This is on my wish list.

WellTidy · 01/02/2022 22:43

Magazine subscription
Set of new mugs or glasses or placemats or something along those lines that you’d use every day

Velvetiser?

LouLou198 · 01/02/2022 22:47

I would go and have a facial or a back massage.

Ohyesiam · 01/02/2022 22:49
