Supermarket job application underage

My dd (17) is 18 in 16 days time
She has seen a job in a big supermarket that she wants to do but because of the unsociable hours she has to be 18 to work there.

I've told her to apply as she can still be interviewed at 17 and be ready to start when she turns 18, she is adamant that she has to be 18 to apply. (Taking the job advert literally)

Does anyone work in a supermarket and can advise, should she wait or apply now
There isn't a closing date on the job advert

Of course she can apply. It will take more than 16 days to get through the recruitment process. They have even told her it's fine.
