I am going to be in London on the 14th - going to the Titanic exhibition near Canada Water later afternoon, and then I think a play at a theatre near London Bridge. In between, I'll want to wander and have dinner.
It's just me, no children, so I'm looking for somewhere that I could go alone without feeling awkward. However, it's Valentine's day and most places that aren't very family-oriented will be all couple-y, and as I'm single, I'd feel even more awkward amongst that. Any ideas, or will I just end up in a Starbucks or Pret or whatever where it's easy to be alone and anonymous. I don't really know the area, only central London, but the two destinations are a few stops apart on the Jubilee line so I imagine I'll stay around that area.
Also I will have until mid-afternoon to do something; I can get in to London by mid-morning, King's Cross. I was just going to wander in Covent Garden or Regent St perhaps but if there's anything nice on or random events, I can get anywhere central. But most things seem to be quite child-oriented as it's half term, or Valentine's oriented.
