Dh quite often buys me treats. Usually the chocolate kind. Makes a Big Announcement and hands it over like a Grand Prize...
Then proceeds to eat half.
For Christmas we all (me, dh and all 5 dc) got a big tub of Heroes each.
He stashed all the half eaten discarded tubs that had no tag on and dc were squabbling over who's was who's. He also ate his own tub ...
Now dc have had the oddments shared out on film nights etc and all are gone and no issues.
But.
The unopened box is in fact mine.
And all the contents..
I have however implicated an imo genius plan - dh's face was very less than amused...
It is period week and no man /woman /goat is coming between me and that box of chocolates.
Sooo people I have removed all the ones I like.

And hidden them.
Dh is welcome to eat the rest. He isn't amused.
Lighthearted or steely mean aibu to have played these cards?

Sounds like a perfect strategy to me .... except it wouldn't work at our house, because I like them all ...... Grin

He'd get short shrift with me. Not really a gift if you expect half, is it?

SleepingStandingUp · 01/02/2022 12:29

I know this is lighthearted but can you not just put your name on it and tell him to not touch it??

Yanbu to take the nice ones out but the whole situation is u with everyone hiding chocolate

With the 'gifts' I now just don't look his way as I start to eat it!!
He did the same with nice bottles of alcohol Xmas 2020. Haven't decided how he isn't getting last Xmas's stuff yet!
May take it in the bath and lock the door!
