I’m on the Cambridge diet, just one bar a day.
Iost 2lbs week one..brilliant!
Week 2 weigh day is today , but I did a sneaky weigh in yesterday as my clothes are feeling a bit looser and I have stuck to it, great, another 3lbs gone. That was last night. Ate nothing, had a bath went to bed…
Tonight I weighed myself.
6lbs ON.

Today I have eaten x1 weetabix with almond milk at breakfast, 5.30 this morning.
12.30 I had x1 Cambridge bar. Just got in from work so hopped on the scales… 6lbs ON. ON.
How the fuck can I have eaten so little and witching 24 hours put on 6lbs???

I think I’ve got IBS as I’ve been to the loo twice today.
Had 2 cups of black decaf coffee and 1 litre of water.

I’m perimeno, cannot move any weight even though I stick to less than 800 calories a day,

Gutted, absolutely gutted.

@JSL52

I feel your pain. Absolutely starving myself to lose 5lbs in a month. Then all back on in one weekend.
Yep. This is me too. Takes about 5 weeks of eating just 2 small meals a day (800 to 1,000 calories in total). All back on, plus another 2lb for good measure, in two days of weekend.

I only ever weigh myself first thing in the morning, after going to the toilet and completely naked(before I've even had a drink). If I weigh myself in the evening I'm about 5lbs heavier (then back to normal the next morning). I've noticed that even if I weigh myself in the morning after I've ONLY had a glass of water and coffee, I weigh a couple of lbs more!!

Honestly read the Why We Eat Too Much book, cut out all the processed junk bars and eat food, mostly plants, not too much. You won't lose 5 pounds in a week, but weight loss will be sustainable and you will feel a lot better.

Unsure what Cambridge diet is but you should weigh first thing in the morning before you’ve eaten anything and do that every time. You will weigh more later in the day after you have eaten, everyone does. 1000 calories every day isn’t enough, you will be in starvation mode and your body will cling to fat to survive. This is even more true if you’re active at all. You need to aim for at least 1.5k calories a day with some exercise.

Weigh yourself first thing in the morning naked rather than at night or what you eat and drink during the day will impact your weight. 1 litre of water weights a kg (just over 2lb!).

Cherrysoup · 01/02/2022 16:03

I think you’re starving yourself so your body will rebel, frankly.

So if you drink an extra 2 litres of water a day, what happens to any vitamins in your body.
Do water soluble vitamins rinse away?

AndSoFinally · 02/02/2022 14:27

^^ No. They are stored inside cells. Only the excess would be washed away. Water soluble just means you need the presence of water to absorb them in the first place. Fat soluble means you need fat, etc.

It's why if you take vitamins A, D, E or K you need to eat with them ideally, so there is fat present

@AndSoFinally thankyou!
