Very small things that give you the rage

Mine are:

  1. when you run the tap and it either comes too fast or catches on something else in the sink, thus spraying water everywhere;
  2. catching my clothes on the door handle.

These two very minor inconveniences give me the absolute rage. Anyone else?!?!

Cars that crawl to an almost standstill in order to go over speed bumps give me the absolute RAGE!

Double rage when it's a SUV. The complete stop, the inching over at 2mph as if they're climbing up the north face of Everest, not a gentle 15 cm bump of smoothed concrete.

There's a mile of speed bumps on the road to my children's school. It's a daily test of my patience.

So good to know I'm not alone with my rage on this Grin

People (and for some reason it tends to be women) who mistakenly think that overly ennuciating the endings of words makes them sound intelligent. It doesn't.

Trying to get dressed for the school run in a sweaty hurry by removing my slipper socks with my feet while sat on the loo finishing my cold tea.

Every day I try
Every day it fails
Every day I swear

I know that's the point of them, but can't you drive over them slightly quicker than a snail Angry

What car do you drive? Some cars are higher and bumps do not affect them quite as much. My car is relatively small and low and it gives me the rage when cars get right up my backside. No I won't speed up and bugger my suspension up so you can gain a few seconds

I just thought of another one, my glasses always being dirty despite me cleaning them 50 times a day! And them slipping down my nose constantly. I would love to have laser eye surgery if I had the money!

My tights rolling down so I end up with the gusset by my knees when I walk.

And following on from bare/bear (makes me snigger too), people that write cue as que. To my knowledge, this word doesn't exist in the English dictionary.
An actor can use a cue to remember when to start saying their lines.

Cue sports; pool has a white cue ball.

Mouth ulcers Confused

DuesToTheDirt · 03/02/2022 19:32

@Squiff70 - have you tried SLS-free toothpaste (e.g. most Sensodyne, but you do have to check the labels)? It has been a game changer for me, mouth ulcers were a regular and unpleasant feature of my life, but I hardly ever get them any more.

Susu49 · 03/02/2022 20:25

“Unexpected item in the bagging area”. No there fucking isn’t!!
Actually, talking self service tills full stop! Give me the mute button every time!!
AnathemaPulsifer · 03/02/2022 20:28

When the bathroom window is open and the door is nearly closed and keeps banging. It gives me the RAGE.

Old people and people on maternity leave using buggies and prams who decide to go shopping at the weekend.

You are too slow and you take up too much space. Go shopping during the week when we are all in work.

You’re joking, yes?

JuergenSchwarzwald · 04/02/2022 09:33

I've got another one - mobile-only car parks. How is that even allowed? It's very ableist. You should always be able to pay by card or cash and not just on an app.

You can apparently phone, but you don't get a person, you get a "press this button then that button then we'll throw you out".

This was at a railway station. Fortunately I was there very early, so had the time to faff about with the app. There is absolutely nowhere else in the vicinity to park.

B&Q used to have a discount scheme for the over 65s if they went on a Wednesday morning. No idea if they still do, but it seemed like a good idea to give incentives to people who don't work not to go at the weekend.

That's tough I'm afraid. Some smaller cars can't go over them quickly.

Little more subtle than saying you’re slow and in the way, though Grin

(Most people who work at our local B&Q seem to be over 65)
