How do you choose a team to follow?

If you're a fan of a sport but weren't raised to follow a sports team, how did you choose one?

I'm trying to become a fan of American Football and it's early days yet as I'm still trying to learn the rules but I'm hoping to pick a team in the near future.

How did you choose?

Im interested to know why you've decided to become a fan of a sport and then choose a team to follow. And learn ALL the rules.
Presumably because you realised you love watching american football?

Pretty much. I enjoy watching clips and parts of the game and I thought that it'd be nice to learn the rules so that I can watch and enjoy a whole game. Plus I thought it'd be fun to have another interest that I could enjoy with others and meet some new people.

Vikings for me. This could be outing information but I love Bob Dylan (who's from Minnesota) and my favourite colour is purple. Win win!

my Dh is a huge fan of nfl. I’ve been to see a game and I can’t make head nor tail of it. The game experience itself was bizarre and fascinating but I reckon the cheerleaders got more of a workout than the players. Good luck!
Dh chose his team as he’d heard about them and decided to watch their game as his first one and got hooked.

We support Warwickshire cricket team because DFS plays in their junior programme.

I'm a Tampa bay fan as we used to have a house out there so went to a few games in my youth!
The fans were just great it was a real family atmosphere.

Specifically with American Football I picked the Rams as least likely to have voted for Trump… very scientific but it worked for me. Also quite like Sean McVay
