My birthday is next month, not sure what to do

It's my birthday next month, it's a pretty difficult day for me so I like to stay busy.

I wanted to do a day trip but as it's winter it's kind of rubbish weather, so not sure what to do. I was thinking of maybe going to a city to explore, last year I went to Bath which I loved walking around.

I live near London so am a bit bored of London and wanted something different.

Any ideas?

Go to the coast somewhere?

Have a day out by train to Brighton.

Have afternoon tea and go to a show in London.

Go to a London museum or gallery (the V&A or Durer at the National Gallery) then have cocktails.

I was going to say go to the seaside. Great minds!

Lots of places on the Kent coast are easily reached from London.
