British crime drama recommedations

Hey, looking for a new drama to watch on TV. I've really gotten into crime dramas the past few months and have particularly enjoyed: broadchurch, the bay, happy valley, the fall, the stranger and safe. Not really into American crime dramas. If anyone could really British shows that would be great. Finished watching the loch last night but found it slightly too convulted near the end so maybe something slightly easier for my sleep addled brain (toddler going through a sleep regression phase!). Also love psychological thrillers so bonus points for those too please!

Thanks again for all the recommendations, really appreciated. I will give LOD another try! Currently making a watch list with all your suggestions. By the way, I recently finished watching marcella also. Highly recommend for anyone who hasn't seen it. Also I really enjoyed 'the nest" and 'the secrets she keeps' on bbc iplayer. They're psychological thrillers as opposed to crime dramas but just thought I'd mention them anyway as they were so good.

Cracker is free on ITV Hub at the moment

I'm really enjoying rewatching (that's this afternoon gone!)

I watched a two part mini series called "the Moorside" on amazon prime this week. Its about the disappearance of Shannon Matthews.

Sheridan Smith and Siobhan Finneran are in it. Gemma Whelan plays an absolutely brilliant part as Karen Matthews.

Not English, but I was impressed by Bosch.
Kavanagh QC certainly
Heartbeat, which isn’t really a crime drama, but is easy viewing.

Wire in the blood is on iplayer I believe. I've just started watching it.

Mare of Easttown, while American, feels quite similar to Happy Valley, similar social issues, and Mare has a lot in common with Catherine Cawood. Happy Valley does have quite a streak of black humour running through it though, not really present in Mare.

Both series of Hidden are superb. Set in wales so there are bits of Welsh dialogue but overall itsin english. (They film a welsh language version and an english version.)

The Beast Must Die on BritBox is good. It's set in the Isle of Wight, a woman trying to find out who ran her child down.
