I usually wear contact lenses but when I wear my glasses I just feel wrong.
Not just the sensation of the glasses themselves although I am aware of them but my clothes feel uncomfortable and my hair annoys me and my skin crawls and my toes curl. I’m also more sensitive to normal noises (like the children squabbling or my son playing TikTok videos) and to visual noise such as toys everywhere or plates left out.
Lots of people seem to swap between glasses and contacts all the time but I can’t wear my glasses without feeling really uncomfortable. I first got glasses aged 9 and wore them every day until I was 15 but I was aware of them all the time and never felt right (not to the extent that I experience now though). As soon as I got contacts I felt great. Is this common?
