My cat rubs his nose on my face every morning. I have covid. Can he catch it from me?

I think they can. I’m pretty sure mine had Covid when my son and I did as she kept sneezing (unlike her) and slept a lot more than normal.

Big cats at US zoos have died if it.

At the very beginning of all this , and before people were being tested , myself and dh went down with a " unusual flu like virus " ( said by my GP )
I become very ill one night and woke up dp hardly able to breathe , ended up on antibiotics and steroids, so in hindsight , probably covid. Our cat also became ill enough to need a vets appointment with the same symptoms . I asked my vet it I could have given him my flu and the vet said very very unlikely . However he also needed to have steroids for the first time.
I'm convinced if we had covid , then dcat caught it also.

He laid next to me from 5am to 8am this morning sleeping, which is unlike him. I think he has it. He’s prone to sinus infections because of the shape of his nose so I’m worried now.

Apparently they can but I've had Covid for a week. My cats been all over me and has displayed no symptoms. He's still full of energy.
