People saying generally instead of genuinely.

People talking about their weight/diets.

My DSis verrrrry long and detailed trauma dumps from her therapy without even knowing if I'm actually still on other end of phone.

Staffy1 · 30/01/2022 00:36

Ironing, getting out of bed early in the week, roadworks causing long delays, the program “four in a bed”, endless dull, grey days in winter.

narcdad · 30/01/2022 00:42

@stripeymonster

Paperwork - trying to find numerous essential documents which you haven't needed for years and have no idea where they could be.

Password loops and never ending log in - no I don't know my password or my username.

Paying for house and car maintenance which costs a fortune but nothing looks any different. Currently getting quotes for a new roof liner - clearly important but so expensive.

Cleaning - never ending and largely pointless because noone appreciates it unless you down tools for a month.

🤣🤣 yep can definitely agree with all of these, passwords & log in's especially!
WTF99 · 30/01/2022 00:47

@Whatinthelord

People talking at length about TV programs they’ve watched.
This..... And their dreams.........nobody cares!
bumblenbean · 30/01/2022 00:47

Anything involving maths or calculations. Brain cannot cope with it

Trying to get my 3 and 4 year old out the front door when we’re in a hurry (I.e. pretty much every time)

bumblenbean · 30/01/2022 00:51

Agreed re passwords! In particular the dreaded message ‘your password has expired and must be changed’. Cue endless time spent trying to remember which vaguely memorable words I haven’t used and all being rejected as missing a special character/ too short / whatever.

Also technology randomly failing, wiFi going down in the middle of something, phone battery dying just as you’re looking up something crucial, and endless pop ups (especially ones you can’t seem to close because they fill the phone screen) 🤨

mjf981 · 30/01/2022 01:01

People droning on and on and on about irrelevant shite. Particularly if they can't read a room and are oblivious to the fact that the person they are talking at, doesn't care, and its very obvious on their faces and in their social cues. I just don't get it. Read the room!!!!

mjf981 · 30/01/2022 01:07

Another one. The really nasal way some Americans pronounce some words. Like Mid-AZ-oh-LAM. OH-MY-GAWD. Things like that. Very nasal and annoying.

RiverSkater · 30/01/2022 01:15

Pairing gadgets and charging them.

Going for a run used to be just getting out of the bloody door but now I have to charge my watch and pair the bloody headphones which knew my watch yesterday but now they cant find each other. My own fault for buying this shite.

Pat123dev · 30/01/2022 01:19

People who eat with their mouth open.

CeltictigerMum · 30/01/2022 08:20

Spending bloody hours cleaning and tidying when nobody else gives a shit.

CeltictigerMum · 30/01/2022 10:57

Being put on WhatsApp groups I haven't asked to be included in, only to have to endure endless back and forths and unnecessary multiple replies and responses to inane shite .

namechangeanonymous · 30/01/2022 11:40

The word obviously when used talking about something that's not obvious. "Obviously my grandad...." etc
The word basically when used to make others feel small.

100problems · 30/01/2022 11:48

Sport on the radio; especially when it's badly tuned in

WiFi buffering

Putting shopping away

Squirrelblanket · 30/01/2022 11:50

Waiting for my husband to be ready to leave the house.

In fact, people dithering about in general.

namechangeanonymous · 30/01/2022 18:36

Another one:
Levelling up.
I come from an area that could well do with some investment but the phrase is yet another sound bite.
