Business dress for 6th Form - DD needs ideas please

What are good options for Sixth Form business dress?

Left to her own devices she'd be in a tracksuit. I'm no use as she goes to school on the bus so I haven't seen what the current fashions are.

Does she need a suit jacket and skirt/trousers?
Look through some websites together maybe to see what she hates/will wear at a push.

I'd probably give her the money and tell her if it's wasted and she's in detention that's her problem in sixth from!

DD's school defines it as tailored trousers, skirt or dress and blazer. All in black.

The school next door defines it as smart wear, tailored trousers or skirt and a smart top. A shirt/blazer is an option as well. Our neighbour's DD goes there, she wears a skirt or trousers with a fitted jumper or jersey top most days but I have also seen her in a knitted dress.

Smart low heel shoes or boots.
