Topping up O2 payg phone - 2 credit card payments been blocked by bank

Am I just unlucky or does this service just not work?

Should say this is 2 different cards, 2 different banks.

I always topped up with debit card. Not sure why. Are you prepared to try that?
Have you spoken to either bak?

Sorry I meant debit card. The first bank sent a text saying "is this you trying to make a payment?" to which I replied Y and then had to go through the whole process again.

The second bank is my mother's bank and although I have her debit card details, I don't have her phone, so if they've sent a similar text to her I have to phone her in hospital, shout at her (deaf) and try and make her understand and she will worry that something's gone wrong. Such a fucking palaver!

I had this too recently a couple of times - seems to have stopped now 🤞🏻 but was really annoying when DS announces 5 minutes before school that he’s got no credit!

It may be that it’s considered a ‘risky’ transaction in some way - frequently used fraudulently perhaps - so gets flagged by the banks?

Can you visit a o2 store to top up?
