We bought a new Ford on a credit agreement 8 mos ago. Over Christmas it developed an electrical fault which the dealership said was down to a manufacturing flaw which allowed water to get in and basically damage the electrics.
When we dropped it off, they said they didn't have a courtesy car to offer us and Ford would not supply one but that Ford might pay us a "per diem" rate for every day the car was off the road.
It took 3 weeks to fix, during which time we didn't have a family car. Given this, I asked for part of our monthly payment back for Jan.
They are refusing saying we should have asked again for a courtesy car when it became clear how long the repair was taking.
We have the car back now....would you just let this go? I am quite pissed off about it but unsure if it is worth pursuing.
