Where/how would you try and sell a brand new £200 watch?

Can you please help me try and help DS.

He spent £200 (that he can’t afford to lose) on a watch in the closing down sale at House of Fraser for his girlfriend’s birthday last week. Apparently the sales assistant told him at the time no returns or exchanges as the store was closing. Now closed.

Girlfriend doesn’t like the watch.

On the basis this is over a month‘s wages at his Saturday job I’d like to try and help him sell it. But I’ve never sold anything before.

We have the receipt and packaging.

Thank you

You will be lucky to get around £25 for it. If anyone buys it at all. Ebay you will get a low price. Local auction house might not even accept it. Maybe a local jeweller would take it in part exchange for something his gf does like. Newish second hand jewellery has a low resale value.

It very much depends on what brand the item is and whether it is gold. If it's just a brand, EBAY would give him the best resale price.

If you use ebay wait until they do one of their fee discount promotions
