How would you pack for Shropshire trip?

Staying in Ludlow, Shropshire for a few weeks, due to head down on Saturday. I am in Lancs right now and have previously lived in Cumbria.

What to put in my case, to wear, considering it's a bit further south than i am used to?

I know the UK weather doesn't give a damn generally, but should i expect less or more dampness, wind, milder/colder, etc?

I will be based in town centre, and may walk a bit but not to extent i'd need hiking boots. No vehicle coming with me.

Any tips or advice welcome, thanks!

Wear what you would wear in Lancashire, it's honestly not going to be very much different 🤣

Not sure how to link but try MetCheck.com and search Ludlow.

Confused Ludlow and Lancashire are 100 miles apart, if that.

Plus the weather anywhere in the country varies sufficiently over a few weeks that you could need anything from snow gear to shorts and flip flops.

True story - a few years ago there was a time in late March where one year it was sufficiently warm and sunny that I went for a walk on the beach and had an ice cream and the following year we were under thick snow.

Thanks.
I would usually prioritise base layers and waterproofs, not sure whether that's as urgent here..would prefer wool coat and umbrella for a change..

I'm embarrassed to admit i haven't been there before so feel that 100 miles is a bit scary Grin
im so provincial, aaaaagh.

Oooh have fun! Gorgeous place! I'd say wool coat and umbrella would be fine if you're not going hiking. You'll be in and out of shops, pubs and cafés and churches, galleries etc. So I think it'd be nice to feel a bit on the smarter side than waterproof and boots. I imagine it's a bit less damp too. Have a great time!

Not sure how easy it is to get to the Ludlow Food Centre without a car 🤔

Like Lancashire, you just need to cover all eventualities. Lots of layers and waterproofs. Love it there. Can strongly recommend Bistro 7 in Ludlow. If you like the look of the menu, would suggest booking
