HRT on day 3 and I’m no longer tearful..

Placebo?
Coincidence?
Or is it working already?
Is that even possible?
I’ve got the same problems- some of them quite serious- but I don’t feel like I’m going to dissolve into tears for the first time in ages….

Any Thoughts? Or experiences to share?

I think it does work very quickly, my hot flushes stopped within around 5 days. It’s amazing stuff 😊

Mine took a couple of months to work. I’m so pleased I’m on it.

Interesting… so you two have found that it takes between five days and a couple of months to see an impact. Might be placebo but the weepiness has gone very suddenly.

It sounds real to me.

I’ve got some genuine problems at the moment in RL that would make anyone feel worried but I just feel so much more stable today. For the last week I have cried at the drop of a hat multiple times a day but today I suddenly feel better. It might be real- I wasn’t expecting any difference at this stage so maybe it’s not placebo.

I had definitely started getting seriously suicidal. Especially if I'd had a drink. I'd also become very anxious which has calmed down quite a lot. I'm a lot better since the HRT thankfully!

ComfyQuilt · 25/01/2022 18:23

@ThackeryBinks I’m so sorry to hear that you felt so low before. Did your mood lift quite quickly?

So pleased you have had a good day . I've been on HRT for several years with fantastic results, but recently the anxiety, night sweats etc started to come back, I had forgotten how bloody miserable it was - I have now been on stronger HRT for 2 weeks and am just starting to feel 'normal me' again . Not quite there yet, still have really dry skin and eczema but hopefully that should sort its self out . Wonderful HRT Star

I had a remarkable experience just on day one of HRT: felt massively better. That initial ‘high’ has subsided a bit but three months on I’m still coping so much better with life. I’m very grateful for it.

ThackeryBinks · 25/01/2022 18:32

The negative stuff had crept up on me slowly over the years. I was ok on a day to day basis but went fairly wobbly after a few drinks. It all stopped really quickly. Since HRT I've managed health appointments that I had been dodging for years. It was like flicking a switch in me.

ComfyQuilt · 25/01/2022 19:42

@ThackeryBinks I’m so glad it helped you so much.

@bert3400 I didn’t realise the benefit can subside but I’m so glad for a bit of a reprieve right now.

Wow @Gormless so interesting that noticed a difference on day one too. What was it in particular that kicked in straight away?
