I'm feeling super stressed and not sure what to do.
My bub (4 months) has been writhing in pain since yesterday eve. I think he may have silent reflux (pulls off feeds and always wants to be upright, sounds like he burps and grimaces silently after feeds, fussy since birth). Last two days he seems more irritable and not keen to feed but does eventually. Took to GP today and nil concerns but prescribed him Omeprazole. I have the recommended dose today but after researching further , I am freaking myself out about how strong this drug is. I'm worried as bub has not properly been diagnosed with SR. . Told to trial it for two weeks. Should I stop giving it and see how bub is over next few days or continue and see if he improves? I am scared about it blocking acid production and affecting his long term health. However, equally I don't want the poor babe to be in any pain if it is SR. So confused and cannot sleep but exhausted and tearful about not knowing what is best for him.
Any advice would be so helpful right now
