Honestly Im just about to start nights. Four items out of date yoghurts 19th Jan, Chicken 21st Jan and fish yesterday. Ive never known this with any other delivery. Do they actually still have these items on the shelves?

I usually do Asda delivery and never had problems.
However I was in Asda today and there was loads of stuff with yellow stickers. And I picked up some out of date naans, for example. Not sure what's going on at the moment, maybe they're really short staffed?

Caramellatteplease · 24/01/2022 19:41

Call the customer services. That's completely unacceptable

Mammaof · 24/01/2022 19:42

I always have issues with bloody asda!! Very rare do online with them now!!

mnahmnah · 24/01/2022 19:43

I’ve used them every week since conducting started and has very few issues. Substitutes have usually been fine. Dates all fine too.

mnahmnah · 24/01/2022 19:44

Covid, not conducting!!

RedCandyApple · 24/01/2022 19:45

I don’t like Asda for online. Always rubbish near me.

Inclinedtochatter · 24/01/2022 19:46

Last time I did one with Asda they didn't arrive between the time slot selected so I rang customer services who told me there was a delay and I would receive it by 8pm. 8pm came and went so I called again and was told no later than 11pm! I said this wasn't acceptable and they finally admitted there were no drivers available and could they deliver the following day. I had to decline as we were at work but it put me off using them again.

DockOTheBay · 24/01/2022 19:47

Go on the app and request a refund for those items, they never question it.

StarsAreWishes · 24/01/2022 19:49

Ugh. I had this with Sainsburys, so defected to Tesco.

abbs1 · 24/01/2022 19:53

I only used asda a couple times. Loads of food was going out of date the day it arrived or the day after, no milk and didnt sub it for anything, not even UHT etc. Haven't used them for ages now. Tesco have been best so far after trying Morrisons and Sainsbury's as well.

Caughtavibe · 24/01/2022 19:55

I’ve been using them weekly for a few years.

I had an item of questionable quality this week but don’t often have problems. They refunded quickly when I went on the app to request a refund.

I do check dates as I’m emptying the trays onto my counter though and, the few times I’ve had short dated stuff, I’ve handed it back to the driver or a refund.

There were several subs over the last few weeks but that’s delivery issues with high omicron rates. Still better than lugging heavy shopping home myself so worth it for me & I have a CEV DH so I’m grateful we don’t have to go to the supermarket.

100problems · 24/01/2022 19:56

A quick poll at work today voted Sainsbury's as overall best, everyone hated Tesco.

RedCandyApple · 24/01/2022 19:58

Tesco’s have been the best for me, Sainsbury’s rubbish, 12 subs and 4 items unavailable that’s the most subs I’ve ever had with any shop!

bonfireheart · 24/01/2022 19:59

I've done Asda Click & Collect twice and it was an awful experience. Tesco has been fine. Morrisons is hit and miss. Thinking of trying ocado to compare.

MrsJBaptiste · 24/01/2022 20:16

This has just confirmed (yet again) why we don't do online food shopping.
Scan and shop all the way (Asda or Tesco)

Ginsmything · 24/01/2022 20:21

I tried Asda Click and collect for wine before Christmas. I clicked on “I’m on my way” by the time we got there they had given our order to someone else! They did reissue it but didn’t have some of the wine we had ordered but gave us 2 bottles of Prosecco to apologise.

Caramellatteplease · 24/01/2022 20:25

I find both tesco and morrisons awesome.

OnGoldenPond · 24/01/2022 21:02

DD does Asda delivery at her student house. The last one her delivery got cancelled as she was waiting for it. No food in at all as she had just moved back in for the new term. Was rebooked for the next day by customer services but they rebooked it on the address she moved out of a year ago. She had to ring the driver and beg him to drive over to the correct address. Luckily it is 5 mins drive away so he agreed.

This is why we now use Tesco at home.

SomewhereOnlyIKnow · 24/01/2022 21:04

I had some stuff going off same day with no warning from Tesco. It happened twice and I complained each time, it’s stopped now.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 24/01/2022 21:10

Asda are great, had a weekly delivery for 10 years plus. V easy to request a refund from your order. I've never had OOD stuff. Occasionally a short date which I request a refund for and keep the item too.

blyn72 · 24/01/2022 21:20

I'm so sorry you've had that experience. I've shopped online at most supermarkets, Asda a couple of times, and never been disappointed.

I hope you complained.

OnlyTheBravest · 24/01/2022 22:04

I use Asda, Ocado and Sainsburys and opt for morning deliveries. Overall, in my area they have been fine no missed deliveries.
I had one order from Sainsburys with a lot of short dated goods, so handed them back for a refund to the driver. Luckily, I have an express store nearby so can pick up if something is really urgent.
I think it depend alot on your local stores/delivery warehouses. Some are good but judging by this thread some are awful, which you won't know until you give them a go.

Oldraver · 25/01/2022 09:58

I've noticed fresh food in supermarkets very short dated at the moment

We try and buy for four days when were both at work and had to freeze quite a bit

Morrisons and Waitrose were culprits

Croissantly · 25/01/2022 10:06

I think it depends in part where you are as well and what your local store is like. Sainsburys is excellent here but aware others find them rubbish. Asda I have always found short dates in store as well, probably worse at the moment with deliveries being delayed?
