Hi all I'm new here so hope I've got thus right. Sorry if I haven't.
I need help. Ive been a council tennent for 34yrs in the mean time the housing association took over without any break in my contract. I maybe in a position to buy my house but they say its £80,00ish discount but the original deal when I joined the council was %60 discount i was wandering if any of you have been in this situation and found a loop hole to see if I get grandads rights so I can buy my house at %60 discount instead of the new discount. I hope this makes sense many thanks

How much discount is the £80,000?

I always thought it was 40% discount. Not sure what grandads rights are.

When I bought mine it was 50% if you'd lived there for 5 years, then another couple of % for each subsequent year.
